Low Back Pain & Sciatica Care

Low back pain is a location, not one single diagnosis. It can involve different structures and pain patterns, including localized soreness, movement-related pain, or symptoms that travel into the buttock or leg. At Healing Response, we begin by understanding your history, how you move, what changes your symptoms, and whether neurological findings may need additional attention.

Our Approach

1

A movement- and nervous-system-informed assessment that considers pain pattern, range of motion, muscle guarding, strength, sensation, reflexes, gait, hip movement, and other relevant findings.

2

Acupuncture and electroacupuncture selected around the individual presentation rather than using the same point prescription for every person with back pain.

3

Orthopedic bodywork, soft-tissue techniques, cupping, Gua Sha, or kinesiology taping when appropriate to support movement and address contributing musculoskeletal factors.

4

Careful attention to radiating leg pain, numbness, or weakness so that possible nerve involvement and indications for coordinated medical evaluation are not overlooked.

5

Functional goals that matter in daily life, such as walking comfortably, sleeping, sitting through work, lifting, gardening, or returning to exercise.

We do not assume every episode of low back or leg pain is the same problem—or that every pain traveling down the leg is automatically sciatica. Your care starts with the pattern in front of us, so treatment and referrals can be guided by relevant findings rather than a one-size-fits-all label.
