Vestibular Disorders & Dizziness

Dizziness and balance problems are among the most common — and most disabling — neurological complaints. The vestibular system is complex, involving the inner ear, brainstem, cerebellum, and visual system. Effective treatment requires precise identification of which components are affected.

Our Approach

1

Detailed vestibular assessment with infrared goggles — examining nystagmus patterns, positional testing, and vestibulo-ocular reflex function.

2

Balance testing across multiple conditions — firm surface, foam, eyes open/closed, and various head positions to isolate the affected system.

3

Targeted vestibular rehabilitation exercises — canalith repositioning for BPPV, gaze stabilization for VOR dysfunction, habituation for motion sensitivity.

4

Acupuncture for vestibular symptom management — reducing nausea, calming the autonomic response to dizziness, and supporting neural adaptation.

5

Integration with cervical spine treatment when cervicogenic dizziness is a contributing factor.

We don't treat all dizziness the same. BPPV, vestibular migraine, PPPD, and cervicogenic dizziness each require different approaches — and we have the assessment tools to tell them apart.
